After spending a few days in Paris, it was, alas, time to return home. I had booked a ticket in Delta One business class from Paris to Cincinnati, so I had the opportunity to visit the Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge. In this Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge review, I’ll run through the food, wifi speed, seating and other lounge amenities so you can decide if this is worth a visit on your next trip to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge access requirements
To access any Air France Lounge, you must meet one of these requirements:
- Traveling in the La Première cabin (includes a guest)
- Traveling in the Business cabin with a Standard or Flex fare on Air France or a Skyteam partner
- At least Flying Blue Gold status (includes a guest)
- SkyTeam Elite Plus status (includes a guest)
Notably, the various Delta American Express cards (like the Delta Reserve) do NOT give access to these Air France lounges at CDG (they only give access to Delta Sky Clubs). Also, Priority Pass is NOT accepted here, unlike many Air France lounges in the United States, like the Boston Airport Air France Lounge.
Clearly they have had plenty of people wanting to get in either with Delta cards or Priority Pass, as there are large signs by the entrance.
While we were there, I heard an American loudly complaining on the phone to someone (Delta? Amex?) about how he had this expensive card and it never let him in to any lounges. I should note that he was loudly complaining from OUTSIDE the lounge 😀
My family was scheduled to fly on Delta’s business class from Paris, so we all had access to the Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge
Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge location
The Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge location is in Terminal 2E in the M gates. After taking the train from the rest of the CDG 2E Terminal, you will go through security, and then follow the signs for the CDG Air France lounge in the M Gates.
You enter into a large seating area / food hall, and the Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge is straight ahead.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge seating
Once you check in and scan your boarding passes, you will see a map in front of you, directing you to the various seating areas, food and amenities in the Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate M Lounge.
The Air France Paris CDG M Gates Lounge in Terminal E is quite large, and there are extensive seating areas.
We first took an area over near the food buffet and the windows, but then after we had gotten food, we moved over to the below area, where they have loungers.
There were a few power outlets (mostly USB) around, but that would be one complaint I had – there were not a ton of power outlets around for charging devices.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge Review: food
When I visited in early 2024, there was a simple buffet of food at the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge. We first arrived around 9 a.m., and they were serving breakfast
As you might imagine in France, there were a large amount of bread options.
A bit later they brought out chocolate and other desserts
We were at the lounge in the CDG Terminal 2E M Gates for a few hours, and around 11 a.m. they started replacing some of the dishes and bringing out lunch.
There were plenty of self-serve drinks available, including alcohol
and the world’s tiniest cans of soda. I don’t know if this is just a European thing to not drink as much? Or a trying to not waste as much? Though it seems like you’re using even MORE materials because most people I saw (including me) would take at least 2 cans per trip since they were so small (150ml if I remember right)
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge wifi
The Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge wifi speed was pretty fast.
I had no trouble doing light browsing and email as well as uploading photos and videos.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge amenities
There was a shower area though apparently I did not get pics about that, but one of the biggest amenities is the spa area. All lounge guests are eligible for a complimentary facial / spa treatment.
You do need to sign up and make an appointment, so this may not work if you only have a short time at the lounge. My wife did sign up for the facial and reported back that it was outstanding.
There is also a special roped-off area that appears to be for VIP guests. Sadly, having a travel blog did NOT count as having access…

The Bottom Line – Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge Review
If you have access to the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, you’ll definitely want to check it out. Air France has several different lounges in Terminal 2E (one in each of the K, L and M gates) as well as lounges in the other parts of Terminal 2E. Because you do have to go through security before you get to your gate, it’s not clear to me if you’ll be allowed past security in a different terminal or gate area.
The seating options at the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge were expansive and with decent views of the runway. There were plenty of places to sit, at least when I was there. The food is solid and the Wifi is quite fast. It’s definitely a place worth visiting if you have access.

“To access any American Airlines Flagship Business Lounge, you must meet one of these requirements” .. Guess you meant Air France?
Thanks – fixed the typo
Got to experience the La Premiere lounge last year…WOW Travel lounges will never be the same again…even tho I have been FC on Lufthansa
I was able to experience one of the AF lounges last year for 4 hour layover. Flying Delta One, but on AF equipment, so Business I guess. These lounges are so awesome. Food, seating options, drinks, great customer service from the staff – they even had concierge type folks walking around offering Prosecco, or little desserts. I will be flying through here again next month, but only on AF Premium economy on a Delta ticket, so I am not thinking I will be eligible to utilize one of the lounges. I did see on the AF website that a day pass could be purchased, but not sure if that is possible or not for me or if they even do that at CDG. And, yes, btw, cans of soda are incredibly small. LOL. Thanks for the great photos and write up on this.
Yes – it’s my understanding that you would not have access with a premium economy ticket. It might be worth a day pass if you’re going to have a long stay there
I saw the price for a one day pass is €75 pp. I wonder how often folks are successful with a day pass purchase. I will have about 4 hours before my second flight Thanks.
I’m sure you would be successful with a day pass purchase if you felt it was worth it. 75 Euros is a lot of money though!
AF lounges are superb; particularly in comparison to many others (US legacy carriers as well). Customer service is unparalleled with representatives anticipating needs and proactively engaging with travelers. The French Champagne/sweets carts are a
particular favorite with many upscale vintages to delight any champagne lover!
