I had thought that I would only be visiting ONE Air France lounge in Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport. But alas, after my original Delta One business class flight from Paris to Cincinnati was cancelled, I decided to run it back one more time!
I was rebooked onto Air France business class from Paris to Newark (EWR) the next day, so after staying another night at the Holiday Inn Express Paris CDG Airport, we headed back into the airport for a 12:40pm flight. This time our flight was in the L Gates, so we visited the Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate L Lounge. In this Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate L Lounge review, I’ll run through the food, wifi speed, seating and other lounge amenities so you can decide if this is worth a visit on your next trip to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge access requirements
To access any Air France Lounge, you must meet one of these requirements:
- Traveling in the La Première cabin (includes a guest)
- Traveling in the Business cabin with a Standard or Flex fare on Air France or a Skyteam partner
- At least Flying Blue Gold status (includes a guest)
- SkyTeam Elite Plus status (includes a guest)
Notably, the various Delta American Express cards (like the Delta Reserve) do NOT give access to these Air France lounges at CDG (they only give access to Delta Sky Clubs). Also, Priority Pass is NOT accepted here, unlike many Air France lounges in the United States, like the Boston Airport Air France Lounge.
Clearly they have had plenty of people wanting to get in either with Delta cards or Priority Pass, as there are large signs by the entrance.
There is a Priority Pass lounge in CDG Terminal 2E Gate L, the YOTELAir lounge, though from what I’ve read, it’s not very good – if you have access to the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge, you’ll definitely want to use it rather than the YOTEL lounge.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge location
The Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate L Lounge location is in Terminal 2E in the L gates. After taking the train from the rest of the CDG 2E Terminal, you will go through security, and then follow the signs for the CDG Air France lounge in the L Gates.
After turning to the right after security, you’ll go up an elevator to the lounge entrance.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate L Lounge seating
Once you check in and scan your boarding passes, you will enter the lounge. The Air France Paris CDG Terminal E Gate L Lounge seating is quite extensive, with a variety of different types of seating available.
When we were there (around 9:30 a.m.) it was fairly crowded, and it took a bit of scouting to find an area where the 4 of us could sit down together.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge Review: food
When I visited in early 2024, there was a simple buffet of food at the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge. We first arrived around 9 a.m., and they were serving breakfast
There was an array of cold cuts, breads and other light snacks available. The Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate M Lounge definitely had more extensive food options.
There were soft drinks, water, juices and other beverages, in addition to self-serve alcohol and a small bar.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge wifi
The Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge wifi speed was pretty fast.
I had no trouble doing light browsing and email.
Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge amenities
There are a few amenities at the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge
All lounge guests are eligible for a complimentary facial / spa treatment, though that area was closed when we were there.
There is a small relaxation / rest area
And a small kids’ area, which was empty when we were there
In addition to restrooms, there are showers and a sauna available for lounge guests.

The Bottom Line – Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge Review
If you have access to the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, you’ll definitely want to check it out. Air France has several different lounges in Terminal 2E (one in each of the K, L and M gates) as well as lounges in the other parts of Terminal 2E. Because you do have to go through security before you get to your gate, it’s not clear to me if you’ll be allowed past security in a different terminal or gate area.
The seating options at the Air France Paris CDG Terminal 2E Gate L Lounge were expansive, though the lounge itself was fairly crowded during the time of day that I was there. The food is solid but not extensive and the Wifi is quite fast. It’s definitely a place worth visiting if you have access.
