Southwest has expanded its international destinations dramatically during the past two years, with service to Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America. In the first week of 2017 Southwest announced four new nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale to four Caribbean islands. It’s been two years since Dan published his original complete list of Southwest international routes. It is time for an update!

Surely you’re aware that Costa Rica and Belize and not Caribbean islands.

I wonder why they think they need a direct flight from Milwaukee AND Chicago to Aruba. It’s a rather long flight from either. Just seems odd as Milwaukee and Midway are so close to each other.

Southwest seems to be focusing on expanding its Houston Hobby hub.
And yet still no flights to Hawaii.
I bet they are thinking about it. I think it is just a matter of time. They could easily start service from west coast, such as Oakland and Orange County.
They could, but don’t want to invest the money in the training…from what I have picked up. Sure make life better for us west coasters.
