I wrote yesterday about the sub $400 fares from many places in the US to many other places in Europe for a wide variety of dates from December 2016 into fall of 2017.
Normally these deals are fairly ephemereal (disappearing quickly after they are posted), but I’m writing again today because there are STILL a wide variety of these sub $400 round trip fares available!
Obviously I can’t confirm how long these deals will be available, but here is one that I just found late Tuesday night – Cincinnati to Amsterdam for next weekend!
Most of the deals seem to be on American or Delta. Â Shawn from Miles to Memories reminds us that if you don’t want to pay cash for whatever reason, you CAN use transferrable points like Chase Ultimate Rewards (1.5 cents per point if you have the Sapphire Reserve) or Citi ThankYou points (1.6 cents per points if you have a Citi Prestige and are flying on American. Â 20,000 US Bank FlexPoints is also an amazing deal. Â Yes, you can oftentimes get more than 1.5 cents of value from your Chase points, but depending on your point balances and travel goals, it can still make sense. Â The value of points sitting in your account doing nothing is (sort of) 0!
You can find these flight deals through Google Flights or you can use meta airfare search Momondo (affiliate link – I found some cases where Momondo was showing better deals – see yesterday’s post where it found a deal for $375)
Act now!
As always, the sooner the better if you want to jump on these deals. Â I was talking to a guy at work this afternoon and he had his eye on a flight from Cincinnati to Rome. Â He told me about it and then about an hour later I asked if he had booked it and he said he hadn’t yet. Â I told him he better get on it and he went back to check and the fare was GONE (it was up to $1400 r/t). Â Luckily for him, he was able to take advantage of the truth of the traveler’s triangle, adjust his dates, and find a ticket that worked for him.

I just booked Tampa-London on British Airways for $469! I hesitated a little bit, some of the Delta fares I was looking at are gone now. But this one is better I think…don’t even need to make a connection!
Definitely a widespread deal, probably won’t be lasting much longer.
Right – I’m surprised it’s lasted this long! Normally these deals are measured in terms of hours!
I got CLE-AMS for $401 on Delta, the cheapest I’ve ever seen for a ticket originating in CLE. Speaking of Ohio… I know you have no reason to cover Cleveland being that it’s 4 hours away, but does anyone cover this area? We surprisingly have some of the best domestic and Canadian airfares in the country but I never read about them
I’ll cover CLE if there were a deal from there. Actually Dan from Dan’s Deals is from CLE
I booked CVG to Barcelona for 409…fantastic! !!
