I wrote about the $25 Visa gift card deal for “test driving” a Kia last month, but wanted to write a reminder about this deal as it runs through March 31st (Thursday). There is a nominal limit on how many gift cards they are giving out, but it does not appear they have hit that limit as the signup form is still available.
From now through March 31st you can get a $25 Visa Gift card for “test driving” a new Kia. I put “test driving” in air quotes because in my experience you almost NEVER have to actually test drive the car. This was certainly true with the last deal I did (involving 7500 American AAdvantage miles for “test driving” a Cadillac)
(SEE ALSO: Attention Cadillac / American promo haters: my 7500 free miles could NOT have been easier)
In the ~10 times I’ve done similar deals, I’ve only had to actually test drive a car once
My Kia Test Drive experience
There aren’t any Kia dealerships that are super convenient to my general routine, so I printed out the form, and kept it in my car until I was going to be in the area
I pulled up on a snowy day, walked into the dealership and this is how the conversation went down:
PWaC: “Hey I got this form about a $25 Visa gift card for test driving a car…”
Salesman: “Let me be frank with you – do you want to test drive a car, or are you just looking for the gift card?”
PWaC: “Just the gift card”
Salesman: “Okay.”
He then signed my form, put in the code, and I was on my way. I estimate that I was in the dealership literally no more than 30 seconds. My wife had a similar experience a few days later. As a data point, I sent in my form in the middle of February and have not yet received my $25 gift card.
Definitely worth doing IMO! You can print out the form to get your $25 Visa gift card with a Kia “test drive” here
