This was a deal a little while back where you could open jaw on Qatar Airlines from several cities in the US to Johannesburg, South Africa, and returning from Johannesburg to several different cities in Europe.  Per Secret Flying, it’s back!

(Stopover, layover, open-jaw? What are they and what’s the difference?)

The deal is good for several dates in late 2016 and several different cities.  I played around with a few different origin and destination cities and the cheapest I found was starting in Dallas and ending in Warsaw, Poland, for several different dates in November and December 2016

There were fares in the $400 and $500 range leaving from Chicago, Philadelphia, New York and a few other US cities, as well as ending in Amsterdam, Stockholm, Oslo, Paris, Rome and several different European cities.  Play around with it to see what works for you!

I did see one question about how you get back from Europe to the US and the answer is…. you don’t!  At least not on this ticket – you will need to make your own way back to the US.  Which could be a miles ticket (depending on which dates you book and if you book before the upcoming AA devaluation, this is 20,000 miles one-way off peak from Europe to the US), or a low cost carrier like Norwegian Air or WOW Air.
