Breeze Airways is a relatively new airline startup that was founded by David Neeleman (who also founded JetBlue). Breeze is an ultra-low cost carrier (ULCC), where fares are low but only cover the actual flying. Anything else (food, seat selection, carry on or checked bags, etc) is an extra charge. Breeze also typically has more of a point-to-point route network (think Spirit or Frontier) over a more hub and spoke model like American, United or Delta.
Breeze Airways announces new destination
While scrolling the news today, I saw that Breeze Airways had announced that they were going to be flying out of my home airport, Cincinnati (CVG). They are also flying from CVG to Charleston, South Carolina, starting in February 2023.

On Breeze’s website, they also say that they are going to be starting nonstops to Vero Beach from Hartford, CT, and Westchester County, NY. They are also adding a variety of other flights from existing cities.
What it’s like flying Breeze Airways
As I mentioned earlier, Breeze is an ultra-lowcost carrier (ULCC). So they offer low flights (as low as $29 or $39 in some cases), but charge for everything else. You can choose between Nice, Nicer and Nicest for your tickets, depending on what kind of amenities you’re looking for.
I haven’t yet flown Breeze but I’m kind of thinking about trying them out.

I have flown Breeze (once), PVD – JAX. I (think I) went with the Nicer rate, as it was only a couple of dollars more than the bag I knew I would be checking. Oddly, I only recall 2 price options, but that’s probably faulty memory.
As a passenger, I would consider it rather nondescript. Nothing that really stood out in one way or the other.
