Crete is the largest Greek island and a wonderful vacation spot, with beautiful beaches, wondrous seafood, and classical Greek ruins. Huge discounts to the Aegean island are available by teaming several airlines: American and Finnair or Norwegian with EasyJet. Prices are as much as 70% off for spring flights in April and May, which often run from $1100 to $1500. Please note: there are cheaper flights available, but the layovers push travel times to well above 30 hours one way, which blunts the deal considerably. New York has the AA/Finnair sale, the rest are with Norwegian/EasyJet. Cities include:

  • New York from $451
  • Boston from $618
  • Newark from $601
  • Chicago from $656
  • Orlando from $667
  • Miami from $667
  • Seattle from $737
  • San Francisco from $818

These prices include a carry-on, but not seat selection; meals are also extra charge on Norwegian and EasyJet. However, given the huge discounts on fares, splurging for seats or a bite to eat won’t cut into your savings fort these flights. These fares appear on irregular days, and layovers vary from just over an hour to nearly a full day; look for short connections or long ones, if you’d like to spend an extra day exploring connection cities like Paris, London, or Helsinki. These fares are booked directly with the airlines so search Google flights for good dates, then book through links from there.
