Last year, Best Western ran what may have been the absolute best hotel award promotion I’ve ever seen and somehow, it seemed like nobody was talking about it.
(SEE ALSO: I’m confused: Why aren’t more people talking about this deal?)
It was half-buried as a footnote to some other dumb hotel promotion like “double points on every stay”, but the net of it was that EVERY BEST WESTERN HOTEL in the US and Canada was bookable for only 10,000 points. It’s like the IHG Point Breaks list on steroids!
This year, they’re doing it again!
Best Western every hotel 10K promo details
This Best Western promo is good for stays between November 15, 2018 and January 15, 2019. The promo page talks a lot about “free night vouchers” and things like that, but it actually works exactly as you expect it would – when you make a reservation for a night in that time period, it just costs 10,000 points, even for hotels that normally cost 36,000 points or a ton of cash. Compare these rates for Key West in December
Compare that with the cash rates on the same night
2.4 cents per point for a BEST WESTERN point?!!? That’s insane value – probably 3 times what a point is typically worth. And actually it’s worth even more since that $242.10 rate doesn’t include taxes.
This promo is only good on Best Western hotels in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
Best Western every hotel 10K fine print
Unfortunately, they must have learned a thing or two from last year’s promotion, as there is a bit of fine print that makes this year’s iteration not QUITE as lucrative
- Not valid for Friday or Saturday nights
- Not valid at Best Western Branded properties in Mexico
- Not valid on stays on November 22, 2018, December 24, 2018, December 25, 2018, December 31, 2018, January 1, 2019.

Best Western points are difficult to earn and offer is limited to US. No wonder it went without much attention.
I’m looking in CA and it’s at regular reward points. Why?
Are you looking between Nov 15 and Jan 15 on a non-Friday and non-Saturday?
This is what a rewards program can offer when it isn’t flooded with Chase UR points from MSers.
I used this last year at Fort Meyers Beach for a week stay at beachfront hotel that normally would have been about 250 per night.
I got their reward card 2 months ago to rack up the points to do it again. The deal isn’t as good this time because they have taken the weekend out but still very usuable . It was easy to earn 70000 points in a short time with the card bonus.
I think it might have been through entire month of January last time as well.
I think you’re right – I feel like last year I was looking at properties over MLK weekend and/or President’s Day. And yes, hard to be as excited when weekends are not allowed.
