UPDATE 8/30 – Reposting this as I’ve now added additional trip reports to the page
For the 5 years or so that I’ve been writing Points With a Crew, I’ve written hundreds of trip reports from first class trips around the world to hotel reviews of random hotels in Ohio. One thing I’ve always struggled with was a way that people could easily find all of these old reports.
There is the search feature at the top of the page, but unless you know what you’re searching for, you might not know that I had an amazing suite at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui or 9 things to do in the Sacred Valley of Peru BESIDES Machu Picchu
Introducing the Points With a Crew trip reports page
But… NO LONGER! I’m pleased to introduce the Points With a Crew trip reports page, which you can find in the menu at the top of the screen (or in the hamburger menu in mobile)
You can also click the image above to go to the trip reports page, which contains a Google Map with a list of (almost) all of the trip reports that have been published at Points With a Crew over the past couple of years.
How to navigate the trip reports page
Each red dot contains a link to 1 or more trip reports. If you click on the red dot, it will pop up a window where you can read a blurb about that trip report and then click through to read the full report
Sometimes (depending on the size of your screen), many of the reviews are geographically close to each other and in that case you’ll see blue, yellow or other color groupings (with a number in them). Clicking on that number will automatically zoom in and you can see the individual trip reports.
The lines on the trip reports represent flight reviews or road trip reviews – for those you can click anywhere on the line to see the details and click through
You can filter using the legend at the bottom left of the page
You can choose to hide or show flights, hotels, attractions or other trip reports.
What’s next for the trip reports page
There are a few other things for the trip reports page that I am still working on
- Adding more of the plane trips and other road trips
- Adding in images and snippets for every post
- Adding a few more trip reports that aren’t in there yet
- Allowing the ability to “group” trip reports in similar locations (so clicking on Disneyland shows ALL of the Disneyland trip reports, since it felt like it didn’t make sense to have separate pins for each one.

Although a two-week trip to Peru was completed several months ago by my family, I clicked on that area via your Trip Report Page and found the information easily. Thank you; thank you; thank you.
