I always spend a TON of time researching things to do when planning family trips. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with all of the options. I always wish there were one place I could go for suggestions of different types of attractions we are looking for. Turns out, the new Marriott Moments site looks like it could be all that plus some!

What Is Marriott Moments?

Marriott Moments is essentially the combination of Marriott Rewards Moments and SPG Moments with a little extra zing. It is now the largest platform for finding and booking experiences in hospitality. There are over 110,000 experiences for purchase in 1,000 destinations which is amazing! When I was looking over the Marriott Moments site, I was surprised at just how many options were available.

Who Can Purchase Experiences From Marriott Moments?

Members of Marriott Rewards and SPG Rewards have access to all the experiences available through Marriott Moments. The general public also has access to a smaller number of experiences to book with a credit card.

From now until August, members will earn 10 Marriott Rewards points or 3 SPG Starpoints on every dollar spent on Marriott Moments with a credit card. Once the loyalty programs are combined in August, members will earn 10 points per dollar spent with a credit card. In the near future, members will be able to redeem reward points for ALL Marriott Moments experiences, not just the member only options.

What Types of Experiences are Available?

General Public (purchase with credit card)

  • Viewing the Northern Lights from the Arctic Circle
  • Private island hopping along the Dominican Coast line
  • Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge
  • Touring the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, Turkey
  • Walking with a local through Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo

Member Only

  • Meet Ringo Starr at his “Peach and Love” birthday party in France
  • Get backstage tour and attend an intimate Q&A with Keith Urban during his Graffiti U World Tour
  • Marathon Progressive Dinner around NYC led by acclaimed Chef Eric Ripert
  • Upcoming MLB and NFL packages
  • 3-Day Culinary Adventure with Chef Carme Ruscalleda

In my opinion, the experiences available to the general public are awesome and they just get better with loyalty club membership. The Member only experiences seem a lot more intimate and like more of a deep dive into the experience.

How Can I Book an Experience with Marriott Memories?

If you are trying to figure out what you should do on your next trip, the Marriott Memories site has a great search function. You can search by what type of traveler you are (eg. “The Ultimate Tourist”, “Zen Master”, “Exhaust Your Kids & Be the Family Hero”, etc.) or by destination. You can also get suggestions from travel experts like top chefs, actors, athletes, and even local hotel teams.

In addition to the main site, Marriott Memories is now integrated with Facebook Messenger. If you are searching for something to do on vacation or even in your hometown, chat with Marriott Rewards or SPG on Facebook Messenger for suggestions. You can share an address/zip code or drop a pin and someone will give you suggestions of moments that you can purchase directly from your phone.

Things to Look Forward To

Marriott Memories has added a number of new partnerships to the program in order to increase the number of opportunities for members. Wether you want to participate in an authentic feast with a Roman family or learn how to cook during a Mediterranean cooking class at the St. Regis Bal Harbour, there are lots of options for everyone!

What kind of experience are you most looking forward to booking with Marriott Memories? Let us know in the comments!
