Today, one of the promotions available is a “Stay More. Save More.” discount through HotelStorm. I don’t have any personal experience with HotelStorm. It looks like a basic third-party hotel booking engine (similar to Priceline). The site has good reviews as long as you generally know what to expect from similar sites.

Deal Ideas
Unfortunately, HotelStorm won’t allow you to redeem this offer on just any old hotel. I checked for cheap hotels in Vegas and wasn’t able to find any for free (priced under $40 a night).
As an example, I looked at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino for weekday nights at the end of April. If I book directly through their website, I was got a price of $132 per night for a total of $551 per night after taxes and fees. The total for the same nights, with the $160 T-Mobile Tuesday discount through HotelStorm comes to $406. The total savings after taxes and resort fee are added is about $145.
Things to Keep in Mind
- This is a third-party booking site so you likely won’t earn hotel points. You also may not be able to take advantage of hotel reward program elite benefits.
- Bookings are nonrefundable so be sure of your dates prior to booking.
- Third-party booking sites can lack customer service.
- Double check rates before booking. I’ve heard HotelStorm sometimes has higher rates than booking direct through the hotel.
This could be a great deal take advantage of if you are booking a hotel stay in the next 11 months. There don’t seem to be many limits other than the fact that they limit the offer to certain properties.

I’m glad you were able to find some good deals! When I initially saw the promo, I immediately thought of the cheap hotels in Vegas and was curious if you could snag a free stay but sadly they blocked those properties.
Nice, found a hotel for 1 night in Playa Del Carmen to stay at before we jump further south to do the all inclusive thing. Was cheaper than anywhere else I looked.
Why not just pay for the hotel with your Arrival Plus and go MS the points needed. This way I get hotel credit, get to use my status at the hotel. I figure using the Arrival Plus in this manner reduces the hotel cost to about 20% of the total cost of the hotel stay.
That is another option for sure. I know MS is getting harder and harder in a lot of areas and for some people, it’s just not worth the time and effort. Like you said though, you do miss out on elite benefits so you really have to weigh your options.
Isn’t Hotel Storm the same company as RocketMiles/Rocket Travel?

I just did a quick Google search and it looks like it was started by the same people but it’s not the same company.
So, we booked a room for $98.14, all seemed fine until after we left and then the hotel charged us $78.72. The hotel stated that hotel storm didn’t pay them so they charged us and that the room rate should have only been the $78.72, not $98.14, that I needed to call Hotel Storm and work it out with them. I called hotel storm who then stated it wasn’t their problem, that the hotel needed to refund the second charge. When I asked why I was charged $20 extra for the room, and if I could have a refund for the difference, they said no because I agreed to that price at the time of booking, which though true, was slimy. If I had gone directly to the hotel, I would have saved $20 and a bunch of aggravation…also, still waiting for the second charge to be refunded. When I called back I was told they were working on it………… >:-(
May I ask what hotel and what city you stayed at? Looking to book and I wanna look into this before I purchase.
