Airline Travel Waivers

If you have a flight scheduled for today, please double-check the status before you head off to the airport. Many major airlines are offering travel waivers if you are traveling into. our out of impacted areas Here is a list of links to airlines and their current policy for this storm:

If you think there is a chance you could face a cancellation or delay, plan to pack all necessary items in your carry on bag. My mom recently had a flight delay that caused her to miss her connection. She ended up having to spend the night in Denver at the last minute with the choice of waiting up to five hours for her bag to be located or have it sent along on the next flight to her destination. Luckily, she had all of her basics in her carry on including medicine, toiletries, and an extra set of clothing.

If you happen to find yourself stranded at an airport, make sure you are aware of trip delay or cancellation protection provided by the credit card you used for booking. Most of the policies are available online and you can also call your card with any additional questions. In my experience, these benefits go a long way help make an otherwise miserable delay a little easier to manage.
