It seems like there are endless stories about children misbehaving on airplanes, in hotels, or in club lounges. I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who doesn’t hold an opinion on the issue.

Sometimes families get kicked off of planes for sitting in incorrect seats while other times, parents try to be proactive and hand out goodie bags as an advanced apology for anyone who might have to hear their child cry.

Another Way To Get Kicked Off A Plane

The incident begins with a woman complaining about her seat assignment and ends with her being kicked off the plane.

In the video, she says she won’t sit the entire flight next to “this crybaby”.  The mother says he won’t be crying for the entire flight. Note: A flight from JFK to Syracuse is under 1 hour and 30 minutes. Another Note: The baby is silent during the whole video.

After the flight attendant offered to re accommodate the upset passenger on the next flight, the real trouble started. The passenger demanded the flight attendant’s name and threatened that she wouldn’t have a job the next day. As we all should know by now, threatening flight attendants doesn’t usually get you what you want…

The passenger was later identified as an employee of the Governor of New York. Due to her poor behavior, she has been placed on leave while the Governor’s office performs an investigation. Link to story

You Never Know What Might Happen

I’ve been on the receiving end of my fair share of rude comments about my children on airplanes. It is nice to see someone finally face the consequences of being rude to fellow passengers.

I would like to give this woman the benefit of the doubt. We don’t know why she was traveling. Maybe she was under immense amounts of stress or she gets motion sick sitting at the back of the plane. After all, it’s a good idea to treat others with at least the same level of compassion you would hope to get.

I’m curious, what would you have done if you had found yourself on this flight?
