IHG has a history of giving out some pretty good quarterly promotions, and they are back with the IHG Accelerate Fall 2016 promotion. For awhile, they were changing the name of the promotion every quarter but recently they seem to be sticking with “Accelerate”

I was not eligible for the IHG Accelerate Summer promotion, as it was targeted to residents of other countries, but I’m back in business for the IHG Accelerate Q2 2017 promotion
Accessing the IHG Accelerate Q2 2017 promotion
You can access the IHG Accelerate Q2 2017 promotion at IHG’s website. After you sign in, and accept the terms, you should see your dashboard, which will be personalized with your own offers. Depending on your stay profile, you’ll have different tasks. Typically, the more you have stayed previously with IHG, the harder your tasks will be to complete
All stays have to occur between May 15th and August 31st. IHG Award stays and Cash and Points bookings typically do NOT count.

I’d have to stay 5 times to get any appreciable bonus points, so that’s probably not one that is going to fit with my current stay patterns

This one is much better – with 2 stays at (different) Holiday Inn Express hotels, paid for with the IHG credit card would net an additional 30,000 bonus points. The 3000 if one of those stays is in June would be extra. The good part about this offer is that because the “Achievement bonus” only requires completing 4 of the 5 tasks, we can skip the “Stay 5 nights” one.
Since Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotel chains anyways (not Holiday Inn!), this may be something that we look at.

Mine is terrible actually. It basically requires me to stay 22 nights to hit the main targets. I actually just had a discussion with the IHG corporate office about that last promotion as they disallowed an offer where I had to stay at 12 HIX hotels. I hit the target but they disallowed stays (completely separate dates) at the same hotel in Texas. The T&C didn’t say that it had to be 12 different HIX hotels. So be careful is all I’m saying.

My promotion has a 2k bonus for a points & cash stay. The other two promotions just require a ‘qualifying stay’. And 23.5k for accomplishing 3 out of 4 offers. Question is, does a points & cash stay count as a qualifying stay? Challenging to understand the rules.
Two quarters ago I accomplished 3 out 4 and earned the 25k bonus, however, it took 3 phone calls over 8 weeks (beyond the 6 to 8 weeks waiting for the points to post) to get the points to post. Either IGH doesn’t pay their staff enough or they have a lot of tech glitches.
I think I am only seeing the Q1 offer because the terms referring to bookings between Jan 1 and Apr 17. Does this mean I am not being offered a Q2 challenge?

I finally viewed my offer and it’s a great one. I can earn 35,000 points by staying a single night and purchasing the smallest package of points. This is the first offer in years that is doable.
