It seems that the new normal over at Southwest is to have a sale every week. If prices are always this low–does that really count as a sale? Whatever the answer might be, their new sale is good from now until April 6th. You can read more about the sale here.

Cheapest flights?

Like before, the lowest fares ($39) are on Long Beach-Las Vegas and Oakland-Reno/Tahoe. If you’re traveling on one of these route pairs, it could be a great opportunity to save some cash. It looks like there are 62 routes under $59, which isn’t a terrible price, especially when you’re getting two bags for free. That’s the largest number of routes I’ve seen for sale over at Southwest in a really long time!

Ohio? More like Oh-low-o!

Pardon the pun (courtesy of defunct Skybus–RIP), but flights from one of Southwest’s newest cities — Cincinnati — are only $49 each way!

WN-CVG

If you’re in the Cincinnati area, this could be a great opportunity to see our nation’s capital or the Windy City for less than $100 roundtrip! And don’t forget, you’ll get two bags free with Southwest, so no need to pack light!

Conclusion

The other thing to do (as Dan has pointed out before) with these Southwest fare sales is to check your existing bookings.  Because of Southwest’s amazing cancellation policy, there is no penalty for changing your flight if the price goes down.
