Reposting this as the meetup is THIS weekend – you can find details below and RSVP here.

The miles and points “game” can sometimes feel very solitary.  Unless you meet someone in line trying to load your Bluebird or Serve (if you even still have one!), or maybe in an airport lounge, your social interactions are often behind a computer screen, like on Twitter or Facebook.

I’ve had a lot of fun when I’ve attended conferences such as the Family Travel for Real Life.  Here’s a shot of an “after party” after one of the Family Travel for Real Life conference

This was an “after party” after a recent Family Travel for Real Life conference, from Leslie at TripsWithTykes

Of course, I’m the guy in the back in the white shirt, obliviously checking my phone, so obviously I’m a real social butterfly! 😀

One of the rules of manufactured spending is that “all manufactured spending is local”, meaning what works in one location might not work in another.

I have organized a bunch of meetups here in Cincinnati, and had a lot of fun.  So I thought as I am heading out to the Bay Area in a few weeks that I’d organize a meetup out there.

San Francisco miles and points meetup date

The San Francisco miles and points meetup will be Sunday April 2nd at 7pm.

I’ve created an evite to RSVP at http://evite.me/eNHEgWjhrH

San Francisco miles and points meetup location

We’ll meet at the Staybridge Suites San Francisco Airport – 1350 HUNTINGTON AVENUE SAN BRUNO, CA 94066.  I talked to the manager and there should be plenty of room in the lobby / breakfast area.  If you can, bring a snack or drink (no alcohol) and we’ll share snacks while we talk miles and points

I know this may not be a super convenient time or location but it’s the only one that will work for me.  So if you want to see me, hang out and talk miles and points, I’d love to see you!
