Amazon is back with a targeted promotion where you can get $20 off an Amazon purchase for adding a Discover card to your Amazon wallet. It is targeted, but there is also a promotion page where you can check to see if you are eligible. The promo has been going on for a little bit but it looks like it was just re-added again. As always, take a look and only purchase what things make the most sense for you. Please note that all links on this (and any post) include my Amazon affiliate link. As an Amazon associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon / Discover $20 off promotion
Here’s how you can potentially get the discount
- Check if you are targeted at the promotion page
- Add a Discover card to your Amazon wallet
- Use your promo code 24DISCOPD at checkout for a purchase of $20.01 or more
This is targeted, so if you’re not eligible, you’ll get a message that says “Sorry, you’re not eligible for this offer right now.” I have seen reports that people were able to un-add their Discover cards and then re-add them awhile later and take advantage of this, but of course YMMV
Terms and conditions
- This is a limited-time promotion. Get $20 off using the promotional code above when you add your Discover Card to your Amazon wallet on Amazon.com and spend a minimum of $20.01. The promotion will end on 7/26/2024 at 5:00 PM PT and after this time, you will no longer be able to either redeem or use the promotion.
- Amazon reserves the right to cancel or modify this offer at any time.
- Offer is available by invitation only, is non-transferable, is not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold.
- Offer applies only to the purchase of at least $20.01 of eligible products using a Discover Card added to your Amazon wallet on Amazon.com and the promotion is applied at checkout.
- Offer is not available to anyone who removed and re-added card after 6/23/2024.
- Offer only applies to products shipped from and sold by Amazon.com or Amazon.com Services LLC (look for “shipped from and sold by Amazon.com” or “shipped from and sold by Amazon.com Services LLC ” on the product detail page). Products shipped from and sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”.
- Maximum benefit you may receive from this offer is $20 per eligible Cashback Bonus® or Miles enrolled card per one account.
- Offer may not be combined with other offers.
- Shipping charges may apply to discounted promotional items.
- Offer does not apply to purchase of digital content.
- Offer discount will be allocated proportionally among all promotional items in your original order. If any of the items in your original order are subsequently returned, your refund will equal the original price of the product, less the proportional amount of the discount. The total discount on the unreturned amount of your original order will then be less than $20.
- If any of the products related to your original order are returned, subject to Amazon’s refund policy, you will receive a refund of the amount charged to your card first, followed by Discover rewards, if used as a payment method.
- Promotional codes (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for any gift cards.
- This promotion is available only to Amazon.com customers with an eligible Discover Cashback Bonus or Miles card issued in the United States.
- Promotional credit is applied before taxes and fees.
- If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid.
- Product images included on the landing page or in marketing communications are not guaranteed to be included in Amazon.com Prime Day deals. Please visit Amazon.com on Prime Day to see all available deals.
More Ways To Save Money at Amazon
Amazon often has promotions where you can get a percentage or dollar value off a purchase by using at least 1 credit card point (like Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, etc). These deals are typically targeted, but it’s a good idea to regularly check if you’re eligible, because these deals come around quite a bit. Note that it is generally a bad value to use your points to shop at Amazon, but it’s definitely worth using 1 point to save $20 – $50.
- Save at Amazon using 1 Amex Membership Rewards point
- Save at Amazon using 1 Chase Ultimate Rewards point
- Save at Amazon using 1 Citi ThankYou point
- Save at Amazon using 1 Discover point
- Save at Amazon using 1 U.S. Bank Rewards point
