Thanks to Miles to Memories, I learned about a PayPal promotion where you can get a $10 reward after you register for the promotion and spend $100 with Paypal.  It runs through August 29th and does not appear to be targeted.

Once you register and make a purchase of $100 or more, you’ll get a $10 coupon off your next order in the middle of September. You’ll then have until September 26th to spend your $10 reward.

Should you sign up?

If you have a Paypal account, I would say that it’s a no-brainer to sign up.  With these types of deals, unless there’s some sort of cost to sign up, it is usually a good idea to sign up just in case.  It’s not clear to me whether this offer will work retroactively.  I posted earlier about some of the gift card deals with 8x eBay bucks and I already spent over $100 via Paypal, so I don’t know if that will count for me or not.  It’s also possible that purchase will be disqualified because it was gift cards, but maybe not.  Even though eBay and PayPal are technically the same company, I could certainly see it going either way as to whether Paypal will be able to track exactly what I bought on eBay
