Hat tip to Frequent Miler, who was the first I saw to report that Meijer is giving away $10 off of $100 in Visa Gift cards.
To get the coupon, you need to log in to your Meijer MPerks account. If you don’t have an MPerks account, you can create one, but the annoying thing is that they require you to put in a phone number, and then either get a text message from them or call them from that mobile number.
So that makes it trickier to get multiple Meijer MPerks accounts. If anyone has found a way to do that (other than having multiple phones / phone numbers), I’d love to hear about it.
Terms and Conditions
The official terms and conditions for this coupon state that:
*No cash back. Limit one use per coupon. Valid through 9/3/2016
Cards to use
Meijer is generally classified as a grocery store, so if you have an old Amex Blue, that should give 6% cashback on that. Other than that, the American Express Every Day Preferred card is another good bet (3x before transaction bonus).
My experience
I went in yesterday morning and bought 1 $100 Visa card ($5.95 activation fee). Total was $95.95. It does seem like based on the wording of the coupon that it would work on a $200 Visa, which would be a better deal ($100 more in spend for only an additional $1 fee)
My reading of the terms means that it would not work again with the same MPerks account (though I’d love to be proven wrong on that), so I have not yet been able to try again.

Thanks for the heads up! I never even knew these offers existed for Meijer! I signed up for mperks, went yesterday and bought one. Went smooth as can be! I signed my hubby up for an account and sent him there today to pick one up also. Hopefully that will go smoothly too, as he has limited patience for my MS shenanigans!

PS, I was able to buy 1 $200 card for $6.95. Hubby will do the same and we will end up making $6 on the deal. Trying to make min spend on CSR that came in the mail Monday!
