In addition to paid travel and credit card sign-up bonuses, another great way to earn points is through shopping portals. For those of you who may not know, shopping portals give you additional points for buying products through them. We buy a lot of things online these days, why not be rewarded for it? British Airways Executive Club eShop is running a promotion right now, where you can earn up to 24 Avios per dollar spent. But hurry, the promotion runs 4 more days and will end on May 31, 2017.

To start, you must sign in with Executive Club eShop here. Then click on the store you want to shop, and then just shop as you normally would online. Below is a sample list of participating stores.
Stack with Amex Offer to save more
There are at least two Amex Offer I am aware of that you should definitely take advantage of along with this promotion:
- Sunglass Hut – Spend $200 or more, and get $50 statement credit.
- Adorama – Spend $250 or more, and get $25 statement credit or 2,500 Membership Rewards points.
- Staples – Spend $100 or more, and get $20 statement credit. Staples sells gift cards in store (and online but delivery is not instant) for Macys, Ebay, Target, etc.
- Bloomingdales.com – Spend $200 or more, and get $75 statement credit. Valid online only.
Conclusion
I love redeeming Avios for short distance flying, especially to Hawaii or Mexico from the West Coast on Alaska Airline. I always maintain a healthy balance of Avios. And whenever there is a promotion like this, I usually participate! For example, lotions and makeups are not cheap, and usually price the same in all department stores. I often wait for a promotion like this, and buy from Neiman Marcus for example to earn 18 Avios per dollar! Regardless what you decide to buy, it’s hard to say no to bonus points. Happy shopping!

Just a caveat here. The higher levels can be super selective. For instance, Sam’s Club will not allow orders that you pick up yourself (how I normally order), and Walmart is only for clothing. Sears and Target have similar restrictions.
The BA site is down!
Am I missing something? I’ve been going to site since I first read about this yesterday, but I only see 20 or so non-interesting stores. Did they remove stores (BBB, Target, ebags, etc) or is that part of the BA computer issue?
Make sure you set the site to “USA” instead of “UK” on the upper right corner of the BA shopping portal.
