I wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that I have updated the IHG Point Breaks map page that I maintain with the latest list, which was just released. Remember, you can always bookmark that page and check in at
https://www.pointswithacrew.com/current-ihg-point-breaks-map-and-sortable-table/
There are 204 hotels on the list. This is significantly higher than previous lists, which I’m sure is correlated with the fact that now instead of each hotel on the IHG Point Breaks list costing 5000 points / night, some PointBreaks hotels now cost 10,000 or 15,000 points / night. Also related to that is the fact that we are now seeing 10 InterContinental and 50 Crowne Plaza hotels.
The hotels are already bookable and will be through April 30th 2018. Remember, the good hotels go fast so book quickly.
There is also coverage of this by One Mile at a Time, Mommy Points, Frequent Miler, Miles to Memories, and Loyalty Traveler among others.
I am also including the map and sortable table here for reference

Here is the current IHG Point Breaks map, for hotels bookable in February 2018, March 2018 and April 2018, and is the current and latest PointBreaks list. These hotels will be bookable through April 30th, 2018

I booked the same hotel I did last year, except this time I paid 10K points instead of 5K. :/
LOL – Point Breaks “devaluation” FTW! 🙂
Well you should kiss IHG’s toes for the privilege to continue using your points for these sweet hotels.
So many people unhappy about paying double or triple the old price. It’s still an okay deal sometimes. So what if the price triple?
I do understand and part of me agrees with your general point (i.e. if there are better hotels available in better places, I might be willing to pay higher prices). But I’m not sure “so what if the price triple[sic]?” is a phrase I use very much in any other aspect of my life, so I’m not going to use it here either!
You use that phrase “very much”? (sic) That’s odd. 😉
I’m not sure that I use that phrase very much. Very often? Ever?
“better hotels in more places”
Really? Where?.
First, thanks as always Dan for the map. Alas, I’m seeing lots of lots of the same ole’ boring, unexciting candlewood and interstate IHE for 10k (that used to regularly show up as 5k)
final nail in the coffin of the once vaunted IHG rewards club.
First time comment, I wanna say thank you for adding them all up into a map, was very helpful.
Used to get a lot of value on weekend gateways with IHG 5K points per night.
But this time around In the entire Tri State area (NY NJ CT and even PA) the only hotel that offers free breakfast, free parking an indoor pool and hot tub is the IHE in Wilkes Barre East PA for 10K per night and the hotel is 150 Miles away from NYC.
But then there is a Hyatt in Fishkill NY for only 5K a night and has Free breakfast free parking a pool and a hot tub.
Question is: what is pricier 5K Hyatt points or 10K IHG points?
Depends on what kind of points you have. If you’re just transferring from Chase, then of course Hyatt would be less. It’s generally easier to get 1 IHG point than 1 Hyatt point though
Not overly impressed. I thought there would be MORE and better options but in the end IHG is trying to bleed us of our points and really not giving any more (in my opinion).
With that said, I am going to a hotel and paying 10000 points a night, not one of my first destinations but it’s the closest one to me and don’t want to pay 15000 points a night. The last couple of times there hasn’t been much but I want to go somewhere so… off I go. This looks to be the worst of the stays I have ever stayed at though by the location so i’m just hoping it’s a decent area once i get there.
To me, the hotels are lesser quality than they used to be (by destination) and now we pay more.
