For the past two years, US Travel Association ran an annual promotion called Daily Getaways. It was an opportunity to get up to 60% off on points and deals from major airlines, hotel chains, and other travel companies. Daily Getaways 2017 will return on April 10, with preview on April 3, 2017.

The list of participating partners is similar to the last two years. Hot deals sell out in minutes, such as Hyatt and Choice Hotel packages. I was never able to purchase the Hyatt packages the last two years because there were so many people competing for so few packages. In 2015, I was able to purchase enough Choice packages and redeem them for my five-night stay at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island in Bahamas, just outside of Atlantis Resorts. In 2016, I was only able to purchase a few packages because so many people were buying the Choice packages and converting them to Southwest Points. With hotel point conversion no longer counts towards Southwest Companion Pass on March 31, 2017, maybe this year less people will be eying the Choice packages? We will find out soon in April.
Dan wrote about the 2015 Daily Getaways here and 2016 Daily Getaways – week 1, week 2, weeks 3, and week 4. The format for 2017 Daily Getaways will be similar to the past two years.
