UPDATE 10/30: Reposting this as the last day to register your card is tomorrow (10/31). You can still stay by January 1, 2018 but you have to REGISTER by 10/31
Got an email the other day talking about a promotion for Hyatt Credit Card cardholders for $50 off stays at Hyatt Place or Hyatt House if you spend $300 or more, including over multiple stays
Hyatt Place / Hyatt House credit card offer details
Here are the details on the Hyatt Place / Hyatt House offer
- From October 2, 2017, to January 1, 2018, if Hyatt Credit Card members spend $300 or more on their Hyatt Credit Card at a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotel, they will receive a $50 statement credit. In order to be eligible to receive the $50 statement credit, Cardmembers must register their Hyatt Credit Card between October 2 and October 31, 2017. Eligible purchases can be made at multiple Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels in the U.S. in order to reach the $300 spend minimum.
- As a World of Hyatt member, cardmembers will also earn the full 5 Base Points per eligible $1 spent at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels. This not only includes spend on stays, but also other qualifying purchases including 24/7 Gallery Menu offerings and Coffee to Cocktail Bar selections. Personally, I am not a huge fan of the Hyatt Place charge you for everything model but it’s probably just because I’m a cheapskate
- New cardmembers are eligible for the promotion as long as they register by October 31, 2017. This offer applies to existing reservations booked with Hyatt.
[Thanks Hyatt for cleaning the vomit out of my car!]
Register for the event
Registration is free but as mentioned above, you must register before October 31st. Register here.

50 off 300 translates to a 16% discount. Discounted Hyatt gift cards routinely go for 20%+ … 16% just doesn’t seem to appealing …
Sure – I can see the logic in that. Of course this way you don’t have to worry about buying hacked Hyatt GCs, as has happened to a few folks I know 😉
